The 3rd Annual Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival is just over two months away, and tickets to Opening Night (Thursday, August 24) are limited and going fast! Please note that an Opening Night ticket gets you into the film screening at Town Hall Theater and the fabulous After Party at the Swift House Inn - your Festival Pass does not admit you to Opening Night festivities. The Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival is pleased to announce its second annual Best of the Fest New England Tour. In keeping with the Festival’s promise to its winning filmmakers, the MNFF will take its outstanding films on the road to share them with audiences across each of the six New England states. With the 2nd Annual Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival having recently concluded, MNFF bring its popular “Best of the Fest” screenings back to Middlebury this fall, giving audiences a chance to see the Festival’s VTeddy Award winners once again or for the very first time. What a whirlwind of a few days! The 2nd Annual Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival wrapped this past Sunday (Aug 28) and concluded with the VTeddies Awards Ceremony before a packed house at the Town Hall Theater. The Ceremony was followed by a screening of special guest Barbara Kopple's newest documentary, "Miss Sharon Jones!" Custom-made by Festival sponsor Vermont Teddy Bear Company, the VTeddies are more than just huggable trophies; the MNFF will tour all VTeddy Award-winning films along our New England Tour which will provide films with valuable exposure throughout each of the six New England states. The Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival is pleased to welcome two-time Academy Award-winning documentary filmmaker Barbara Kopple to Middlebury, VT as its Featured Guest for the 2016 Festival that runs August 25th through 28th.
