Located in the heart of the iconic Champlain Valley, flanked by the Green Mountains to the east and the Adirondacks to the west, Middlebury, Vermont and the surrounding area is home to a pleasing mix of classic, historic inns, modern lodging and dozens of B&Bs. We are certain you will find something to your liking while attending the Middlebury New Filmmakers Festival.

Addison County Chamber of Commerce

Addison County Chamber of Commerce has more than 30 members offering lodging in downtown Middlebury and surrounding communities – from quaint B&Bs to larger inns and a hotel.

Middlebury Courtyard Marriott

Combining New England design and decor such as its wrap-around porch and fireplace suites with modern services and amenities, including the Bistro for breakfast or dinner and drinks, the Middlebury Courtyard is a short five minute ride to the center of town.

Swift House Inn

Located in a lovely section of Middlebury, Swift House Inn is a beautiful 20-room former governor’s mansion and offers the essence of New England charm and warmth and an excellent dining experience at Jessica’s Restaurant. Swift House is a short 5 minute walk to the center of town and all the Festival activities.

Middlebury Inn

The Middlebury Inn is a delightful year-round vacation destination where guests can enjoy renowned hospitality and great food at Morgan’s Tavern. The historic Inn is just steps away from the Festival’s center of activities, the Town Hall Theater.

Pink House Farm

With its dramatic hilltop positioning, Pink House Farm offers breathtaking western Adirondack views. Sited on one of Addison County’s most coveted roads, this luxurious 1798 farm house has been restored to its historic beauty.

Whitford House

Located on a quiet, country road overlooking the Adirondacks, Whitford House is a restored 18th-century farmhouse and contemporary guest house, surrounded by the rich farmland. Lodging includes a wholesome, Continental breakfast featuring many local, organic and all-natural options.

Waybury Inn

The Waybury Inn, hugging the base of the Green Mountains in the village of East Middlebury, offers fine accommodations, an elegant dining room, casual pub and a beautiful setting. The Inn is a little over 10 minutes by car from the heart of Middlebury.

Middlebury Sweets Motel

The Middlebury Sweets Motel in Middlebury, VT is newly owned and operated by Middlebury Sweets, the largest candy store in Vermont. All rooms were upgraded in the spring of 2018 are are tastefully decorated in candy themes.

Marquis Theatre Café

Enjoy amazing Southwestern food and hand crafted cocktails in our cafe, or take our food & drink into the theater while you enjoy a movie! The Marquis Cafe is proud to offer festival pass holders 15% off during MNFF. Open daily at 12pm each day of the Festival.

American Flatbread

Experience fire-side dining and good food fresh from the earthen oven. Along with salads & desserts, all natural beverages, wines, and microbrews, the restaurant offers all-natural flatbread pizzas featuring Addison County- and Vermont-raised ingredients.

Two Brothers Tavern

Two Brothers Tavern is located in the heart of Middlebury. Enjoy upscale Vermont-inspired comfort fare in the charismatic tavern, cozy dining room or lower-level lounge.

51 Main

51 Main, home of Crooked Ladle, Everything Nice & Giving Fridge, brings together dining, retail, event space and mutual aid, all within a beautiful plant-filled historic building in downtown Middlebury, Vermont. 

Otter Creek Bakery

Downtown Middlebury’s Otter Creek Bakery offers a variety of fresh-baked sweets, delicious sandwiches, and drinks that can be grabbed to-go or enjoyed in their outdoor seating area.

Jessica’s at Swift House Inn

Jessica’s offers casual summer dining in a lovely setting, either inside or on the deck.  The menu features local products and is complemented by an award winning wine list.

Haymaker Buns

Home to the Haymaker Bun Company, offering morning buns, other pastries, espresso and drip coffee. Tasty lunches are also served.

Morgan’s Tavern

ShireTown Marketplace

ShireTown Marketplace, a breakfast/lunch spot, features wood fired cooking and smoked meats, with menu items locally sourced and made from scratch.   The Marketplace also provides local dairy products, meat and seasonal produce, along with a year-round Creemee stand.

Little Seed Coffee Roasters

In downtown Middlebury, Little Seed Coffee Roasters offers high quality, great-tasting coffee and creates a welcoming approach to the drinking of specialty coffee. Tea, lattes, hot chocolate and pastries also available.

Middlebury Natural Food Co-op

The Middlebury Natural Foods Cooperative is a democratic, member-owned cooperative committed to providing healthy, competitively priced foods.  Soups, sandwiches, prepared food, baked goods, beverages and much more is available to on-the-go Festival attendees.

Mister Up’s Restaurant

Located on picturesque Otter Creek in Middlebury, Mr. Up’s offers casual dining in a great setting. The restaurant offers nightly specials as well as seasonal specials and a large salad bar.

Schmetterling Wine Shop

A natural wine shop in downtown Middlebury, defining ”natural” as low intervention in the field and cellar. We love Austrian, German, Alsatian, and other cold weather wines (yes, also Vermont wines!).
Schmetterling was created by a queer couple, and queerness radiates from the business.

Noonie’s Deli

Noonie’s offers sandwiches on fresh, homemade bread as well as delicious soups, salads, and baked goods. Conveniently located in the historic Marble Works District in Middlebury.
