When his wife dies suddenly, Warren Schmidt, a retired insurance actuary, sets out on a journey to Colorado for his daughter’s wedding to a waterbed salesman he despises. Every move Warren makes seems wrong, and he appears destined to end his life as a failure. But along the way, Warren recounts his journey to a poor Tanzanian orphan whom he is sponsoring and begins to see the life he has lived in a new light. Starring Jack Nicholson.
