SYNOPSIS
A young French Canadian couple living in rural Vermont confronts a strange new reality after the passage of the 1931 Vermont Law, “An Act for Human Betterment by Voluntary Sterilization.” The woman, Emily Cloutier, struggles to hold onto the future that she dreams of.
