I Have Dreamed Carthage

U.S. PREMIERE

I Have Dreamed Carthage follows Maïa, a young opera singer, as she prepares to take the stage for her first performance. As she starts singing the main aria from “Dido and Aeneas,” she finds herself struck with a moment of sudden revelation. A mood piece that weaves gauzy dream sequences through the narrative, the film nods to the most prolific French filmmakers of the 70s and 80s, creating a mesmerizing and visually arresting short.
