NEW ENGLAND PREMIERE
When Isaiah Thomas is elected to city council in Philadelphia on his third try, he proposes new rules to reduce unnecessary traffic stops, especially of people of color. After months of negotiations, he gets the police on board and passes the bill. Since the law went into effect, stops have dropped by 70% and seizures of illegal guns and drugs have doubled. Other cities across the country are now passing similar laws.
