VERMONT PREMIERE
Moi-même is an experimental narrative film shot in Paris from 1968-1969 by Lee Breuer and future Mabou Mines members. It follows a twelve-year-old boy attempting to make a film during the May 1968 protests. Abandoned after principal photography, the film had no sound, no script, and no edit. Over the past three years, the director’s son created a script, edited the footage, and added a full soundtrack, honoring the original while introducing new elements.
