SYNOPSIS
A young woman joins a group of D-Day veterans on a 70th anniversary pilgrimage to retrace their route from the beaches at Normandy during World War II. Sunken Roads: Three Generations After D-Day follows their journey, painting an intimate portrait of these soldiers during their final return to that hallowed ground. Providing a new perspective through the eyes of a 20-year old woman, a story of intergenerational friendship blossoms from the memories of 90-year-old men.
