Unnamed tells the story of Zainab, an Iranian volleyball player who undergoes a gender transition. In the face of opposition from his family and from Iranian society, Zainab must fight for his identity and success in volleyball and beyond in order to live his life in its most authentic form. Unnamed tells Zainab’s story, but it is a story that resonates with the lives of transgender people globally as they face an increasingly hostile world.
